"Waiting for Keeper" Wednesday | Part One
Hi everyone!! We're a little over two months away from Keeper's release and I am so excited! I cannot wait to share this book baby of mine with all of you!
To celebrate Keeper's upcoming book birthday, I thought it would be fun to do some sneak peeks, reveal some exclusive content, and share a little more about the book and the characters with you guys while we wait! So, I've decided to start a series of blog posts called "Waiting for Keeper" Wednesday! Each week, from now until release day, I'm going to be posting a new blog post featuring some extra special Keeper goodies!
So let's get started! :)
For this week's post, I wanted to give a little more insight into the look, feel, and emotion of Keeper. So, first up is the novel aesthetic that was created by my amazing CP, Megan LaCroix. I'm not great with graphics, but Megan is a genius and this 100% captures the essence of my book! Keeper is a contemporary fantasy, but I also like to think of it as a southern gothic supernatural story, and this aesthetic captures the spirit of the book beautifully! Check it out!
Also, if you want even more insight into what Keeper looks and feels like, check out my mood and inspiration board over on Pinterest:
And lastly, I wanted to share one of my all-time favorite scenes from Keeper. Lainey's friendship with her best friend Maggie is one of the things I love most about my book. Maggie is loosely based on my real-life best friend, Carrie, and her fierce loyalty and spunk were so much fun to write. When Ty, the mysterious new guy, arrives on the scene, Maggie is quick to tell him where he stands in terms of pecking order. Maggie is a huge comic book fan, so she explains this to Ty in a funny way using her beloved Marvel as an example. I had a blast writing this scene and even though I've read it 100 times or more, it still makes me chuckle! Enjoy!
That's it! I hope you enjoyed this week's "Waiting for Keeper" Wednesday! Be sure to come back next week for another look into the Keeper world!
