Hi guys! Thanks so much for checking out another "Waiting for Keeper" Wednesday!
If you missed last week's post, be sure to check it out HERE! I revealed the character art of my main character, Lainey Styles, and trust
me--you don't want to miss it!
The portrait of Lainey, as well as the one I'm revealing today, was done by the incredibly talented Tara Spruit! I've been a huge fan of Tara's artwork for a while, and I am so thrilled I had the opportunity to work with her for Keeper! If you're interested in learning more about Tara, you can find her on Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr.
For today's post, I'm revealing the art for one of my favorite characters! Meet Lainey's best friend, Maggie Dawson!
I think you're forgetting who you're talking to, Styles. I'm the girl who spends more time with fictional superheroes than I do actual people, the girl who spent an entire summer learning Elvish, the girl who already believed in magic. It's not that farfetched for me, if you think about it. Besides, you're my best friend, and I believe in you.
Maggie was a super fun character to write! She's funny and friendly and she's a huge comic book nerd and has a reference for every situation! She's fiercely loyal to Lainey, and Lainey could not do what she does in Keeper without Maggie by her side. Their friendship was a joy to write, and I'm really hoping I get to write the sequel because I have lots of fun things in store for this character!
Fun Fact: The inspiration for Maggie actually came from my real life best friend, Carrie. While Carrie isn't much of a nerd, she's everything else! She's been there for me through thick and thin and I can't imagine my life without her! :)
I hope you guys are looking forward to meeting Maggie! Less than two months to go! Thank you again to Tara for the incredible artwork! It's PERFECT! Be sure to come back next week for another character reveal!!
Also, don't forget to pre-order your copy and claim you swag pack of signed goodies! To do so, go HERE. Thanks again and see you next week!
Until next time, folks!
